We are looking forward to 2017, a year of refinement and growth for the Foundation.
Our dedication to our mission to transforms lives in profoundly positive ways, by providing resources to organizations that improve health outcomes, enrich youth and support their families, and provide state of the art animal welfare – remains paramount. It’s vital that the Foundation stays focused on its goals and to do so, as always, in a compassionate manner.
As such, we are pleased to announce the arrival of a new member of our team, Mikkael Aaron Sekeres, MD, MS, who will chair the Foundation’s new Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) Research Fund. This national initiative will provide grant support for innovative MDS basic science, clinical and translational research. I am particularly excited about this as my father’s dream of finding a cure for his disease is that much closer to reality.
Other exciting news, is the appointment of Virginia Romano, our managing director, to the board of the Colorado Association of Funders. This will allow Virginia to expand the Foundation’s reach in Colorado.
