The Dresner Foundation provided Detroit Employment Solutions Corporation (DESC) a $1,000,000 grant to support their Grow Detroit’s Young Talent (GDYT) program, specifically the Career Explorations component.

Details

The Dresner Foundation’s grant will assist the GDYT program with connecting over 1,000 at-risk youth 14 –15 years old with local employers and other organizations. The Career Explorations component will introduce participants to first-time work and career opportunities though community service, team projects and job shadowing. Youth will receive 12 hours of work readiness and financial literacy training, and 120 hours of paid work experience.
