The Dresner Foundation provided a $40,000 grant to support  the Learning Labs and ArtLab Programs through the fall of 2017.

Details

Platteforum supports contemporary artists and under-served youth in metro Denver through innovative, long-term arts programs that allow the youth to work side-by-side with artists in residence. LEARNING LABS are intensive, long-term workshops that build on the work of an artist in residence who is matched with at-risk youth K-12. ARTLAB offers year round, out-of-school paid internships to prepare high school students for graduation and beyond.

Through this grant, Platteforum will more than double the number of young people in Denver they can introduce to the creative process continuum while bringing an arts project to the public and fostering collaboration with the greater arts and non-arts communities alike.
