Motel-Based Sheltering of Homeless Men During Continuing Pandemic

The Vera and Joseph Dresner Foundation has awarded MCREST a $50,000 grant to house homeless men through motel-based sheltering.

Details
Prior to the pandemic, MCREST partnered with churches across Macomb County to provide shelter, meals, and shower facilities to homeless individuals and families. MCREST’s new shelter facility will house women and children.

Support will fund housing for 30 men at a time through motel-based sheltering as many church buildings remain closed.
