The Vera and Joseph Dresner Foundation has awarded Detroit Food & Entrepreneurship Academy a $150,000 grant for its afterschool and summer leadership programs.

Details
After nearly two years of virtual afterschool sessions fortified by a home delivery system, DFA will launch its hybrid Summer Leadership Program and its Afterschool Leadership Program at five in-person sites and two virtual sites. To invest in the next generation of young food leaders in Detroit, DFA’s food-based leadership curriculum will focus on foundational culinary skills, meal planning, budgeting, and nutrition.
