The Vera and Joseph Dresner Foundation awarded The Empowerment Plan (EP) $400,000 over two years to provide job training and full-time employment to homeless parents.

Details

The Empowerment Plan’s mission is to empower, employ, and educate homeless parents to break the generational cycle of poverty while producing a social good for those in need. The funds will directly cover a portion of wages for 15 low-income individuals experiencing homelessness, as well as critical, wrap-around support services. In addition to delivering educational services such as GED training, and financial literacy, EP helps participants break down barriers in transportation, housing, and employment.
