The Dresner Foundation provided 826michigan a $150,000 grant over three years to support the Detroit Expansion of 826michigan’s writing and tutoring programing in their new Eastern Market location.

Details

826michigan is committed to inspiring school-aged students to write confidently and skillfully with the help of adult volunteers in their communities, through tutoring, publication, and community engagement. Since their founding in 2005, it has been their vision to provide an energizing creative outlet for children.

With a new location in the Eastern Market, 826michigan is able to expand their capacity to offer one-on-one tutoring, creative writing, and mentoring programs to include more Detroit students.
