Cranbrook School Horizons-Upward Bound: College Readiness Initiative
The Dresner Foundation provided a $50,000 grant for the ETHOS (Extending the Hands of Service) component of the HUB program.
The HUB program at Cranbrook recruits students from middle schools in federally designated low-income and underserved areas in the Detroit Metropolitan area during their 8th grade year. Candidates are nominated by their schools, tested in reading and mathematics, and interviewed by HUB staff.
Through this grant, Cranbrook students will have access to summer reading and writing intensives and skill-based initiatives focused on preparing students for post-secondary education success.
