The Impact of Somatic STAG2 Mutations on MDS Transformation in GATA2 Deficiency Syndrome
2017

Overview
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute received a $287,500 grant to support early career investigator Dr. Robert Coleman Lindsley.

Details
With the aid of his mentor, Dr. Benjamin Ebert, Dr. Coleman Lindsley will study why different mutations cooperate to cause MDS with the aim to help create a more reliable method to identify youth with GATA2 most at risk for developing MDS.  In the future, the results of this study will inform the prognosis and choice of treatment for MDS patients, and drive development of better therapies.
