Overview

The Dresner Foundation provided the Denver Art Museum (DAM) a $271,800 grant over three years to grow Art Lives Here/El Arte Vive Aqui, an off site school and community center art engagement program.

Details

The DAM provides an immersive art experience to students and families by bringing works of art from the DAM directly to schools where students typically have difficulty accessing cultural centers. These exhibits are curated with the community cultures in mind and address themes such as self-identity and social justice. By the third year of the Dresner Foundation’s involvement, four installations will travel to 36 schools and 5 community centers.
