The Vera and Joseph Dresner Foundation has awarded Detroit Horse Power a $50,000 grant to foster social emotional learning for 45 Detroit youth during its after-school program.

Details
Detroit Horse Power combines weekday sessions in a classroom at Marygrove Conservancy with weekend trips to regional equestrian facilities during its year-round after-school program. The skill-building program partners under-resourced urban youth with horses to foster their social-emotional development. The Foundation will support program staff, transportation, meals and more.
