Details

This project will impact school-aged children both broadly and on an individual level, while promoting diversity and reaching underserved youth. DSO will enhance their Educational Concert Series and Live from Orchestra Hall: Classroom Edition webcasts in order to ensure the DSO is accessible to all students, regardless of their socioeconomic status. DSO will accomplish this work through improved teacher support and classroom visits in three underserved communities in Detroit. They will also provide a new entry level ensemble within their Wu Family Academy ensuring Detroit-based, underserved students have increased access to exceptional musical training.
