The Vera and Joseph Dresner Foundation awarded Figure Skating in Detroit $50,000 over two years to increase opportunities for girls to engage in year-round enrichment opportunities.

Details
The expanded afterschool and summer programming will combine sports with scaffolded educational support and leadership development. Through skating instruction, educational workshops and additional enrichment activities, the on- and off-the-ice activities will improve student academics, encourage active lifestyles, and strengthen leadership skills.
