The Vera and Joseph Dresner Foundation awarded Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan a $96,000 grant to support the Mercado Food Hub and Fresh Market Pantry food distribution programs.

Details
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mercado at the Ford Resource and Engagement Center, grew to become one of Gleaners’ most visible food access locations. It is one of the only sources for no-cost, fresh produce, meat, milk, and culturally appropriate shelf-stable foods in southwest Detroit.
