Heritage Works

Work Arts: Connection
2017

Overview

The Dresner Foundation provided Heritage Works with a $85,000 grant spanning two years to assist their Work Arts: Connections a paid and/or non-paid work experience for underserved youth.

Details

During the summers of 2017 and 2018, Heritage Works, in partnership with the Wright Museum, will offer Work Arts activities for six to eight weeks, providing junior and senior level arts-based self-development and work experiences for youth ages 14-18 that are interested in the arts or interested in majoring in the arts respectively. These experiences include exploration into performing arts, arts education, event management, arts camp counselor, and/or museum docent career tracks. Participants will meet for four to six hours per day, three to four days per week to increase their job seeking tools, their job readiness, and their awareness of their vocation in the arts.
