The Role of Short Telomeres in Age-Related Myelodysplastic Syndromes

The Vera and Joseph Dresner Foundation granted Johns Hopkins University a $250,000 grant over two years for early career investigator Dr. Kristen E. Schratz.

Dr. Schratz with the support of her mentor, Dr. Mary Armanios will study the genetic mechanisms underpinning progression from clonal hematopoiesis to overt malignancy and has the potential to both change standard of care and uncover novel mechanisms of clonal evolution underlying MDS biology.
