Dissecting the Biology of the DNA Damage Response Genes TP53 and PPM1D in Myelodysplastic Syndrome

The Vera and Joseph Dresner Foundation granted Massachusetts General Hospital a $250,000 grant over two years for early career investigator Dr. Peter Miller.

Dr. Miller with the support of his mentor, Dr. Benjamin Ebert, seeks to understand how TP53 and PPM1D differ in mediating the DNA damage response to yield deeper insights into how hematopoietic cells respond to genotoxic stress and enable new therapeutic opportunities for therapy-related MDS.
