The Dresner Foundation provided Starfish Family Services a $76,000 grant to support the implementation of phase two of their Trauma Smart® Program.

Details
Funds from the Dresner Foundation will be applied to specific Phase Two training activities to strengthen Starfish Family Services staff’s ability to aid children and families affected by trauma.

Trauma Smart® addresses the traumas caused by Adverse Childhood Experiences, providing young children and their families with the tools and skills they need to overcome the lifelong impacts of trauma. The goal of the program is to strengthen the learning environment and home environment so that children develop social-emotional skills needed to be physically and emotionally healthy and successful in life, reaching their full potential unburdened by the impacts of early trauma.
