The Vera and Joseph Dresner Foundation awarded The Empowerment Plan a $125,000 grant to support the production of EMPWR coats that will be distributed to shelters.

Details
COVID-19 has resulted in increased rates of homelessness, unemployment, and evictions, with many public supports diminished. With COVID hitting already vulnerable populations the hardest, support from the Vera and Joseph Dresner Foundation will support wages for Empowerment Plan’s participants, who will produce 1,000 EMPWR coats for housing insecure individuals in southeastern Michigan and City and County of Denver and the Aspen-Parachute Corridor, Colorado.
