The Vera and Joseph Dresner Foundation awarded United Way for Southeastern Michigan a $170,000 grant to provide technology to nonprofits that support youth and families temporarily displaced in emergency shelters, safe-haven programs, and transitional housing.

United Way for Southeastern Michigan will support displaced youth and families housed in emergency shelters, safe-haven programs, and transitional housing through the provision of digital technology and connectivity devices. This grant will play a critical role in bridging the gap to learning and many fundamental services such as telehealth and employment, as well as seed a larger fund that will address digital inclusion for vulnerable families.
