Overview
The Vera and Joseph Dresner Foundation has awarded Detroit Public Theatre $24,000 to engage more than 1,500 Detroit students through arts-connected curricula related to three plays.

Details
Detroit Public Theatre will partner with Detroit Public Schools Community District to enhance and enrich academic subject areas within the existing curriculum through the three plays: “Blues for an Alabama Sky,” “Detroit ’67,” and “Eight Nights.” For each production, Detroit Public Theatre will train teaching artists, hold pre-show lessons, bring students to a matinee, and facilitate post-show dialogues with students.
